Bats!
Hey All,
We have had to divert our attention from unpacking for awhile in order to deal with a more pressing concern - - bats!
We had a second bat in our dining room Monday night. The first time it was a little creepy, but overall a funny experience. The second time in less than a week was enough to make us worry. We were lucky enough that our neighbor Andy and friend Marsh were willing to get the second bat (dad took care of the first) since Susie and I are both very afraid of them. We spent much of the day on Tuesday with an exterminator who cannot for the life of him figure out how the bats are getting in. Now in the evening around dark, we have to sit outside and watch the house and try to see where they are coming out from. It's a very disturbing process.
In the meantime, we are keeping all the interior doors sealed off and carrying a tennis racket around at night. We are praying for an early cold snap to send them off to migrate.
We still promise to get picture of the inside of the house when we get it all set up.
Love,
Rach and Suz
