Deep Fried Goodness

Welcome to small town U.S.A. It looks the same all over!

We decided to partake in some small town fun tonight. We went to check out the Fredonia Farm Festival. The Festival is very Stars Hallow and filled with crap booths. We spent an hour walking around checking out all of the jewerly and painted signs/benches/birdhouses etc. Some of it was cute, some was interesting, some was just plain scary.

After perusing the craps for about an hour, we moved on to the main event. We were really there for the food, so we headed to the main row of tents filled with deep friers. We made the rounds picking up fried chicken strips, fried cheese, and curly fries. It was fantastic!

After digesting we went back to the crap boths and bought Christmas presents for the members of our families that are into that sort of thing and started to carry them back to the car. However, we decided that our arteries had not been punished enough yet, so we made a stop off back at the deep friers and picked up an elephant ear and deep fried candy bar. Yes, that's right. A deep fried candy bar. It was so good that I could feel myself getting fatter with each bite.

All in all the whole experience seemed very midwestern and made us feel right at home. I think we will probably go back tomorrow for round two!

Glad you're having fun and discovering the equivalent of Pub II fried appetizers all the way out there in NY. I can practically hear your arteries hardening from here! Can't wait to see pix of the house when it's "all set up." Love the big bay window and the new color in the dining (?)/living (/) room. :)
