Greenville Baby Shower

We were treated to yet another baby shower by Big Papi's chosen family in North Carolina on August 11 during our recent visit there. Michelle and Shane hosted a lovely brunch, and then we opened presents. I must say that for people not knowing us, they gave us some lovely gifts. Here are Big Papi, Susie, and Rachel before the festivities began.

One of the favorite books we got was the whole collection of Dick and Jane, shown here. Will seems especially amused with this choice of book.

It's a good thing little Ellison was there to test out our Bumbo to make sure it worked!

Will could hardly contain himself when he saw his first present from us. It was a Promise-Keepers brochure, a bit of an inside joke.

Of course Will did get a real present, an engraved gunmetal picture frame with "I [heart] Big Papi" on it. This is where he'll keep all his pictures of Jackson.

One of the best outcomes of the trip was that Will got to meet Toni and Tarsha (or did they get to meet him?). Tarsha and Will hit it off right away on Friday evening by going to 4 (FOUR!!)grocery stores. I thought Will was *in love* right then. And Toni appreciates that she won't have to accompany Tarsha on all those grocery trips anymore.


It was a great trip, and we loved meeting all Will's people. They're good people.
