We've been out of touch for a few weeks because we have been so busy, but keep checking in frequently because we plan on getting you all updated quickly.
We ended up the month of June with a visit from the Sims-Harris Family! For those of you who don't know, Diana was in Rachel's graduate program, and we used to babysit for William when we lived in Bloomington. We were thrilled to see them both along with husband/dad Antwon, and we had a great time playing tour guides and getting some practice with a having a little boy in the house.

On their first full day we went up to
Luensman's Overview Park for a picnic. The weather was perfect for grilling out. Our friends
KimMarie and
Kinnan joined us on the hill side, and the kids has a good time running around together while the grown ups got a washers
tournament going. William got into the act a little bit too :)
That evening we stopped by the lake to throw rocks in the water. It doesn't sound all that exciting, but to a two-year-old, it is apparently one of the greatest activities ever.
The next day we made the trek up to Niagara Falls. Sometime in the future we might get tired of seeing the falls, but I doubt it. It was a beautiful day and the water was crystal clear. Here is the Sims-Harris family with a pretty amazing backdrop.

From there we made a stop at the Anchor Bar for some original Buffalo wings, and then walked around the
Elmwood neighborhood for a while before heading home.
On the final day of the trip, we drove to Jamestown to see some of the Lucy-Desi sights. We'd never been there before, so it was something new for all of us. We each got to reenact a famous Lucy moment at the Vitameatavegamin set.

Here are Susie and Rachel giving it their best try.
We really enjoyed having William around. He certainly helped up learn a lot about what it's like to have a toddler in the house. One major need we found out about was a highchair or booster seat with a strap on it. We did manage to rig a little seat belt of our own through using one of Rachel's belts. We all laughed at the fact that belt was transferred from Rachel's waist to William's for each meal.

By the way . . . Isn't he just adorable!?!
We were very sad to see them all go, but we hope to see them sometime soon when we pass through Indianapolis on our way to Illinois.
Speaking of Illinois . . . stay tuned for more news on our most recent trip home.
