The Walden Wedding

The last weekend in April we made a quick trip back to Illinois to attend the wedding of two of our favorite people, Brett Walden and Ashley Stover. They are both Susie's cousins but on different sides, so they were in no way related to one another before the wedding :) .

They are a tremendously fun couple, and we couldn't be happier that they tied the knot. Their ceremony was held at Blackburn University and was stunning, as you can see from the picture below.

After the wedding we also got to take some pictures of the family all dressed up in their best spring wedding attire. Here are Susie's mom, then dad and then one of her uncle Richard and cousin Lori. Everyone was looking oh so dapper!

Speaking of looking cute in their church clothes, check out this adorable couple! They even have new hair cuts thanks to a visit with Tony (the God of Hair) the night before.

After picture time i wtas off to the reception, which lived up to our high expectations. Good food, good friends, and great classic rock. The bride and groom are big Journey fans--who doesn't love that? A good time was had by all. Here are Rachel and the beautiful bride, who had the honor of being the first family member to pat the "baby belly bump" (which is not really all that noticeable yet.

One of the highlights of the evening was the phenomenal cake, which was done to perfection by Angie. Isn't it darling?

Speaking of Angie, here she is with Jerry at the reception. We didn't get to see much of them on our short trip, but we are looking forward to staying with them this weekend when we are home for graduation.

Yes, you did hear that correctly. After our 16th week doctor's appointment on Wednesday, we will hit the road again. Rachel passed her comps, so she will graduate this coming Saturday! Two trips to Illinois in one month, and the drive is a little daunting, but we still can't wait to see family and friends that we are missing so much.
