Spangler's Visit

I know it's been a long time since we've posted anything new, and for that I am very sorry! I honestly didn't know how many of you still read the blog until I stopped writing for a while. Hopefully, now that things are settling down some, I'll get back to posting on here weekly.

We just finished a lovely visit with Mom and Dad Spangler. They arrived on Thursday afternoon and stayed until Monday morning. We didn't do any major sight-seeing trips; instead, we spent most of the time just relaxing and enjoying each other's company. It was so nice to be able to just spend time talking and catching up.

We did make one trip up to Hamburg for an afternoon to try to see a movie, but those plans were thwarted by bad selection and odd movie times, so instead we had a nice lunch out at Boston Market and did some shopping. It wasn't the afternoon we had planned on, but it was fun nonetheless.

We also spent an inordinate amount of time eating and cooking. Mom and Dad were so excited to have a major grocery story nearby, and I think they went shopping there every day. They made us wonderful dinners of ribs and beer-butt chicken. I think we have enough left overs here to keep us fed for at least a week, probably longer.

The weather was even nice enough on Sunday for us to all sit outside for a little while while Susie and Dad put together our new electric grill. I think it's pretty safe to say that a good time was had by all!
We were both very sad to see them leave, but it was easier this time because we know we'll see them next month when we go home for Brett and Ashley's wedding.
