Christmas Day

Christmas Day we were up early as usual, but we broke with tradition a little and had food first. We had the classic Spangler Christmas morning foods like cinnamon rolls and orange/vanilla shakes. We also had a great new addition in the Paula Deen's Krispy Kreme Donut Bread Pudding.

After we were able to drag Danny out of bed, we hit the presents. Danny got a cool new phone, Mom got some beautiful jewelry, Dad got Cardinals gear, Susie and Rachel got a gift card for Home Depot since we are saving for a new stove. On top of that, we all got tons of hot clothes, some of which we wore later that day.

After finishing up on the presents, Rach and Suz headed out to spend some time catching up with the Lohnes family. We had some whiskey slushes and got caught up on all the news about Geoffy and Brandy's wedding and Heather and Jeff's wedding plans. We even got a sneak peak at Heather's dress.

Around noon we headed over to Pana. Deb and Darren put together a phenomenal dinner of roast turkey and all the trimmings. It was a wonderful to see all the grandparents, aunts and uncles. We forgot the camera, so we didn't get any pictures :( . Thankfully though towards the end of the day Uncle Darren played Annie Libowitz and arranged for a major family photo.

For those of you who don't know the whole crew, from the top left is Uncle Darren, Aunt Debbie, Cousin Wes, Uncle Scott, Aunt Jane, Uncle Geoff, Aunt Chris, Mom and Dad Spangler; (second row) Grandma Rosie, Grandpa Larry, Susie, Cousin Camy, Grandpa Jerry, Grandma Linda; (bottom row) Crystal, Cousin Garrett, Rach, Danny, Cousin Abbie, and Cousin Billy. We are just missing Aunt Kim, Uncle John, Cousins Simon and Norman, but I hear they may be photo shopped in later :)

Despite the fact that Rach was having the allergy attack from hell that sent us home earlier than we would have liked, it was a good time had by all.

Hope your holidays were as wonderful as ours.
