Misc. Christmas Vacation

The evening of graduation we headed over to some friends house for a party with all of the old ISU crew. We got catch up, share pictures and stories, eat tons of junk food and play a game of Phase Ten for old time sake.

Sunday we were feeling a little puny from all the junk food we'd had, so we mostly laid around until evening when we had dinner at our favorite Japanese restuarant and then Rach headed out to meet some of her classmates. She had a great time seeing everyone again and realized just how much she missed them all.

Monday we had breakfast with some of Susie's professors/friends and said our goodbyes before heading to Collinsville to get our hair cut. Yes, we still get our hair cut in Collinsville, Illinois, because you just can't give up a trip to see the God of Hair, and as always he didn't let us down. Rachel's hair actually looks normal again (see pictures in the next post)

The rest of that week was spent in Carlinville. Nothing too exciting to share. Susie graded papers, Rachel spent a lot of time in the nursery at Mom's daycare. We also spent a day shopping in Springfield with Mom and Grandma Rose (more on our purchases later). We had a good time hanging out at Angie and Jerry's and catching up with Susie's family over dinner.

That weekend we moved in town to stay with Rachel's parents. We indulged our liberalism and watched Al Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth" which is the scariest movie ever. We also spent an evening playing Rock and Roll Triviologies, which was good times for sure, since Rach and Suz won (more Suz than Rach).

This miscellaneous update gets us up to Christmas, which will be the topic of our next few posts.
