Cincinnati
After leaving Louisville, it was on to Cincinnati. We knew we couldn't pass up a chance to see the Cardinals play the Reds at Great American Ballpark.

As previously mentioned, Jackie likes water, so the fountain was a big hit for him. There is also a massive movie screen where they show the ball games for people who can't make it to the park. It is a pretty cool area.
We got to the Great American Ball Park early so we could explore it before the game started. Of course we got a group picture outside to add to our ball park collection. This will be Jackson's first entry. We hope to take him to every major league baseball stadium throughout his childhood.
Once we got inside and found our seats, Jackson started to get squirmy. He didn't care much for the field or the activity in front of him, but he did like all the people milling around in the stands. Still, he looked so cute in his little Cardinals outfit.
I was kind of an emotional event when we all started thinking about the great tradition of Cardinals fans Jackie was joining. It was very special that he got to share it with Pawpaw.
We thought for a while that we were destined for a short night when Jackson got fussy in the second inning. He had a bit of a melt down until Mommy Suz took him for a walk. Apparently all the boy wanted was a higher up seat.
Seriously, once Jackson up a little higher in the second section, he suddenly became aware that there was a baseball game going on out there. From there on he was engrossed and watched happily until the Cardinals were losing so bad that we left in the bottom of the 7th inning.
It was a great night and memorable introduction to live Cardinals baseball for Jackie. I think we have a life-long fan on our hands!
We got to the hotel around midday, met up with Nana and Pawpaw, and headed right for the pool. Jackie is a water baby, and he loves to swim. If it were up to him, he would never get out of the water.
After we all got dried off and rested up, we walked toward the ball park. We did stop off on the way at Fountain Square, which as you can imagine has a big fountain.
