Graduation Trip (Part 2)
On Saturday morning we got up and had breakfast with Nana and Pawpaw Spangler at Le Peep before jumping head first into a day of social activities.
From there we headed over to Dr. Aunt Marcy's graduation party at Tom and Claire's house. It was a lovely brunch and offered us a chance to chat with friends a lot more. Marcy opened her presents and several people got all emotional as we said our goodbyes.
We got to play for awhile and feed Jackson some dinner before heading off to have some dinner of our own. We got to eat at Biaggi's, which is another favorite of ours (we really only travel so we can eat out). We had a fantastic meal, and Jackson got to play with another set of grandparents.
Sunday morning we were able to attend church at New Covenant Community before getting back on the road and driving in fits and starts centered around Jackson's nap/sleep schedule. It wasn't much of a first Mothers' Day for us, but we made the drive back in order to do something very motherly. . . more on that next time.
We did some running around trying to see everyone before they had to leave or meet up with family, but after some trying we finally caught up with Amberyl and Monica and Tim, who were friends from Susie's first year of grad school. It was great to see them if only for a minute.
From there it was off to see the Chandlers (and their cats) as they were celebrating their anniversary. The Chandlers, not the cats. Then it was back to the hotel to see Bella and Grandpa Bloome.

I'm such a horrible friend to forget that this was your first Mother's Day! Happy Belated First Mother's Day, you two.
And now to Nikki's blog to wish her the same. :)
LOL Brad, no worries, we forgot too until like two days before :)
