Rach and Suz

Though we are far away we want to make sure we stay in touch and keep everyone updated on what's going on in Western New York. Please feel free to post your own comments and send us notes.

Greenville NC

After leaving Toni and Tasha's in Raleigh-Durham, we headed down to Greenville to spend a few days with Will and his G-Vegas crew. Of course we had let the camera battery go dead by this point, so we don't have any still pictures of this leg of the trip.

That Monday Will hosted a sip and see for us so that all of his friends and colleagues could stop in and see Jackson. We got to meet some fun new people and play with some cool new kids, which Jackson just loved. They are such a great group of people, and we really enjoy getting together with them whenever we are down there. Towards the end of the evening we were hanging out with Bucky, Marie, Christie, and Shane and Michelle (whom you may remember from our ski trip earlier in the year). Jackson was busy playing with Gary, who he can't get enough of. It was a blast getting caught up with everyone.

The next day we were complete bums, which was just what we wanted. We spent the morning watching The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, and then Susie, Rach, and Jack walked around downtown while Will got his hair cut. It was a total lazy day. That evening Will fried chicken for us. He also made homemade mac 'n cheese and cheddar biscuits. It was a fantastic meal, and Shane and Michelle, Brandy, and Gary came over again to join us. After dinner we all laid around and watched Jackson jump on Gary's stomach, wondering which one of them would throw up first.

After everyone went home, Rach wanted to give Guitar Hero a try. Susie and Will smoked it right out of the gate as they are both musically inclined, but poor Rach had a little longer of a learning curve.

Still, she fell in love with it, or into a trance anyway. It doesn't look very riveting on video, but it is a blast to play. Rach played for two hours solid and was barely able to tear herself away to go to bed.

The next morning we were up early and off to the airport. As always, this trip seemed too short, and we are already talking about getting back down there this winter.

The other night, against the White Sox, Jim Edmonds hit two homeruns. In the same inning! :)
