Big Papi Visit

In preparation for Jackson's birthday, Big Papi came to visit from North Carolina. Jackson couldn't wait to meet him at the airport. Big Papi wasted no time jumping into Jackie's daily activities. Here they are at Happy Hollow Pumpkin patch riding one of the many toys there during a play date with Etta.

Jackie loves being outside even in cold weather, and Big Papi loves being with Jackie, as you can see from this picture.

With the help of the keyboard generously donated to us by the Wilson-Feit family, Will and Jackson got caught up on their music-making skills. Jackie's main job was to turn the pages as Will played, but his enthusiasm sometimes thwarted smooth playing.

Big Papi didn't seem to mind much, though.

Jackson and Ben enjoyed the story at the library during story time on Friday.

Will and Susan also enjoyed the story, or perhaps they just liked sitting in the small chairs.

Jackson quickly realized Big Papi's technology abilities, and demanded that he find "Baby Beluga" on YouTube. Then the continuous loop of that song, "Balloons are Red," "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star," and "No More Monkeys Jumping on the Bed" began. Just when we would get the song out of our head, someone else would bring it up. Those children's song are so catchy!

Of course, the visit was a prelude to the frenzy that was Halloween and Jackson's birthday party. More to come....
