Random Weekend

In addition to finishing up the bathroom cabinet we cot a chance to have a little bit of fun this weekend.

As you all know we are expecting a little bundle of joy in no time at all, so this weekend we decided to get a little practice. We offered to baby sit for little Cal, who is 4 months old. His mom and dad have been a little frazzled as the both teach but have arranged their schedules so one of them is always home. This means they don't have to send him to daycare, but also means they don't get much free time. They were happy to have some time to themselves and we were thrilled to get a little picture of life with a baby.

We started off with a nap, and then Susie got to practice feeding him. Doesn't she look like a natural?
We then got to practice burbing, and have a little play time. As you can see Cal loves the little "lovey" Susie made for him. He is also apparently a big football fan as he was entralled by the Notre Dame/Perdue game for quite awhile. The weather was so nice that we then decided to go for a walk. We got to use our super cool stroller as we cruised around the neighborhood. We also learned our first trick to putting babies to sleep. When Cal started to fuss a little, Susie just took him for a few extra trips up and down the drive way and he fell right to sleep.

All in all we decided that we are pretty good at this baby stuff ;)

On Sunday we were still having amazing weather so after we got our work done we decided to pack a picnic and head out to a park that overlooks lake Erie. We got to play some wahsers, which Susie won 2 out of three continuing her streak a reigning champion.
Then she grilled us up some organic hotdogs. Look at the grill master do her thing.
Rach took care of the rest of the meal, with chips and dip and brownies.

We had a lovely dinner as the sun began to set over the lake. All in all it was a pretty good weekend.
