Thanksgiving Day arrived with a little fanfare. We got Jackson all dressed up in the cute outfit we had picked out for his first holiday. He looked adorable in it for about 15 minutes until he managed to soil it with a diaper-defying poop. So, we had to go to the backup outfit, but thankfully he looks good in just about everything. Here his is with mommy showing off their holiday duds.

We spent much of the day at the Bloome's, where we stuffed ourselves on quite the feast. Jerry was the carving master, as you can see.

In the afternoon we headed over to the Bowman's for awhile. Unfortunately the camera battery was dead at that point, but Jackson got to meet a whole houseful of cousins. It's too early to say for sure, but I think he'll be quite good friends with Gabe. They seemed to hit it off right away :)
The next day we went out to lunch with the Bloome's, and Jackson had his first bowl of Taylor's chili . . . just kidding! He did get some time to cuddle with Grandma Bloome a little bit more though.
Then it was time for an introduction to the Burris crew, who were all out in force.
We got several pictures for Jackson's "Who Loves Me?" book and some very cute video of Camy (who is now going by MeMe) talking to Jackson.
After that we headed to Bloomington to see Barb, Jan, Claire, and our old church congregation. It was so nice to be back at the old stomping grounds. Everyone loved Jackson of course, and we even started making plans to have him baptized there after Christmas. We also got an evening of wonderful "quiet alert time" there. I think Jackson didn't know what to do with all the people gone, so he just spent a hour or so looking at us!

The final leg of our trip was up to Romeoville, where we spent a night with Marcy and Ken. It was great to see them, and Jackson seemed to like them both quite a bit. Here he is with Aunt Marcy.
