Autum Weekend

We are still waiting on Jackson :( He is now 5 days late. It's hard sitting around thinking about his arrival so we are trying to stay as busy as possible.

This past week/weekend we decided to get in the Halloween mood by carving our pumpkin. After picking out the pumpkin from a local grower we set about cleaning and gutting it. Rach took the lead in separating the seeds from the goo.

We cooked up the seeds and have been snacking on them all week.

Susie took the knife wielding, carving duty. The skin on the pumpkin was very thick but she managed to do pretty well with it.

While the end result is not as intricate as the World Series pumpkin from last year, we think this one turned out awfully darn cute!

Then on Friday and Saturday nights we made the most of our Fredonia State University connections and went to see the Blue Devils play their first weekend of home Hockey. The Devils are the reigning conference champions so we got to see the unveiling of their new banner.

They played Utica both nights loosing in over time on Friday and winning on Saturday. Both games were very physical and the team looks pretty good this year.

It was a lot of fun to be back at the games and we are glad we got to see a few before Jackson arrived. Still we hope that we won't be able to see any more for awhile, the games are fun, but we'd rather have a baby.
