New Year's Eve

We spent some more time in Carlinville where Jackie developed a bad case of TMG (Too Much Grandparents).

He got very used to being held and entertained at all times. In the mornings he was with Grandma and Grandpa Spangler. Then he spent his afternoons on Bella's lap.

When we headed over to Pana for New Year's Eve he got one more big dose of spoiling before we headed home.

MeMe got to hold him for the first time, and she even helped make his bottle before feeding it to him.

There were new grandparents to meet too. Here he is with Great Grandpa Jerry.

And with Great Grandma Linda.

Then there was cousin Abbie. Rach got a little misty watching this one because she could remember holding Abbie like that when she was just about that age.
As you can see pretty much whole family got a chance to feed Jackson. The boy ate all night long, much like his mommies who made the most of our free time and free hands.

We got to play a little Wii. Rach is getting better at it and Susie showed some real potential right out of the gate. Rachel may start subbing again just to be able to afford one of our own. :)
We also had a skittles tournament where Billy took all of our money off our hands. He also gave Susie a lesson in new cell phone technology.

It was a great night and we were sad to see it end.
The next morning when we got up and prepared to head home we found out that our favorite BnB also comes with a babysitters :) . Jackson got some quality time with Great Aunt Debby and Great Uncle Dern Dern. He found them to be endlessly entertaining as you can see from the video.
They were able to keep him happy while we got packed up and after a few parting hugs from Grandma and Grandpa we set off on our long and treacherous ride home. We ended up having to stop and spend the night in Ohio due to a bad snow storm, but we made it safely the next day and have been readjusting to life at home. It took two full weeks to get Jackson deprogrammed to the point where he would let us put him down for a few minutes after all the TMG.
