Boys' Visit

Dad and Danny have been out visiting this week, and we have had a blast. Not only have we greatly enjoyed having them around, we also got to enjoy a day on the slopes. Don't the boys look cute in their ski hats.Grandpa watched Jackson while Dan, Rach, and Suz got to ski/snowboard. Monday we had amazing weather with bright sun and a good base of snow. We skied for almost 5 hours, and Dan had us touring the terrain parks. We were very impressed with his mad skills.

As you can see, he hits the first box perfectly, he then hits the second one a little too fast and wipes out. Still, not bad for your first try!

He then moved onto the rainbow rail and rode it perfectly right out of the gate.

He didn't have as much luck on the other rail, but he managed to fall gracefully!

Rach is not athletically gifted, but she did do some tricks on a much smaller scale. She started of on the small box to get a feel for the surface.

When she took to that rather quickly, she began to have visions of grandure and moved up to the bigger box. That didn't go as well as the small one.

After a few more tries she did manage to land the box successfully, albeit slowly.

Dan and Rach ended up deciding to ski a black diamond run, and Suz ended up skiing one too, by accident. We all made it safely to the bottom, which was quite the triumph. We had a great time all day!
