Nana and Pawpaw's Visit

Nana and Pawpaw just can't stay away from Jackson, and really who can blame them?

They came out to visit the first week in October and mostly just hung out for a few days. We went to the library for story time on Friday. That afternoon we just lounged around. Jackson of course was the center of attention, and he loved every minute of it.

Saturday we all headed up to Luensmans Overlook Park for a cookout and some hiking. It was a beautiful fall day, and the leaves were changing into some beautiful colors. The downside was that the wind got a little chilly, so we had to bundle up.

Later in the day our friends Andy and Sarah joined us with their little boy Simon. He and Jackson are going to be best buddies as they grow up, we can tell already.

That afternoon we went on a hike together. Jackson just loves being outside, and we all had a great time. We also got one heck of a family photo.

Sunday was a lot more lounging around. Jackie just loves having so many people to play with. His mommies barely got to hold him, but we did manage one great shot with Susie.

Monday, Susie had to work and Rach had to take some friends to the airport, so Nana and Pawpaw got Jackie all to themselves. They immediately made a break for the local pumpkin patch.

Jackson got to play around in the pumpkins, and he even picked out two of them to bring home, a little one to play with and a big one to carve. No, Nana and Pawpaw don't spoil him at all.

As always, we were sad to see them go, but thankfully we wouldn't have to wait long to see them again.
