Christmas Eve
Christmas Eve is always a magical time at the Bloome (Susie's folk's) house. This year, we had great food as always, though we started earlier in the day. Then it was on to opening presents. This was the year that Jackson learned what presents are, or at least he learned how fun it is to open them.
Here is Rachel teaching him how to pull the paper:
We started on the rounds of opening, and Grandpa Bloome loved his Big Dog polo shirt. Great-grandma looks on...

Bella was thrilled with more red ceramic cookware.

Jerry has a knack for correctly guessing what his presents are, including this Jeff Gordon calendar.

Angie, who was good this year, asked for and received a Ped-Egg.

And Jackson loved his fire engine riding toy. He had a great time being pushed around Bella and Grandpa's house on it.
We are truly blessed to have such a wonderful family. After presents, it was off to church for the Christmas Eve service, which was unfortunately cut short by an emergency diaper change. I guess it was Jackson's way to enjoy his presents longer on Christmas Eve.
