Will's Visit

We'd only been home from Illinois a few days when Big Papi arrived via NYC. He'd been in the city for New Year's Eve and decided to pop over for a while.

We had a great time hanging out with him as usual. We spent the first weekend of his visit just lounging around and playing a lot of Rock Band. Will rocks out on the drums and the guitar.

He also went to church with us and Jackson threw a fit about going to the nursery because he wanted to be the one to show his Big Papi around the sanctuary.

We got totally dumped on by a big snow storm early in the week that left us with 8-10 inches of fresh powder, and Jackson just had to show off his super cute snow suit.

The boy just goes crazy over snow. Will shot a video of him playing in the driveway during the snow. Be careful watching it though, because the level of cuteness is very high. You might want to sit down.

We made the most of all that new snow by skiing several times throughout the week. One of the days we were even joined by our friends Julia and Neil and their son Ben. This was a great deal for everyone because there were plenty of adults to go around for kid duty.

The grown-ups got to play on the slopes, and the boys got to play in the indoor playground/gameroom. Everyone got what they wanted. We loved carving up all the fresh snow, and Jackson loved busting a move on the Dance Dance Revolution.

Jackson has actually become quite the hipster lately. He's very much into music. He dances, he sings, and he plays piano. He sticks out his tongue a la KISS whenever he rocks out and will drum on anything and everything. One night he and Big Papi even gave us a performance at the dinner table.

Jackson is mostly into classic rock with a bit of country ,but every now and then he shows a flair for hip-hop. Will got this shot of him in one of his Gangsta moments.

On the last weekend of Will's visit we had a Wii party. We had over a group of friends to rock out and eat good food (always good food when Will's here). We had a blast playing and getting caught up with everyone after the holidays. You don't really truly know your friends until you see their Talking Heads impersonation.

It was a fun night, and of course Will fits in great with our crew. This time when he left we weren't the only ones wondering why he doesn't just move up here already.

As always, it was great to see Will, and we were very sad to see him go, especially since we probably won't see him again until May :(
