Jackson's Birthday Party
Jackson's second birthday party was held on October 31 in our church hall. Since we celebrated on Halloween, we decided to have a costume party. Jackson dressed up as the pigeon from the Mo Willems' book series, and Rachel and Susan played the drivers. Will (Big Papi), the talented needle worker that he is, MADE the costume for Jackie (well, he had a pattern, after all). Needless to say, everyone was quite impressed.
Many of our friends helped us celebrate at the hot dog party. We read Pigeon books, as you can see here.
Here are Emily and Mo with some balloons.
The kids enjoyed hot dogs and Big Papi's famous mac 'n' cheese. If you're wondering where Will is in these pictures, he's in the kitchen, slaving over the food.
Julia also took a turn reading Pigeon books to Jackson and Ben, who was a pumpkin.

Mommy Rachel did an amazing job with the cake. It tasted as good as it looked.

Jackie had been practicing his candle-blowing-out skills all week, and he successfully blew out the candle without spitting all over the cake, much to every one's delight.
