Christmas Day
On Christmas morning all the grown ups could hardly contain their excitement while Jackson slept until 8:00 for the first time on the entire trip. As soon as he woke up, though, he was ready to roll. He gave hugs and kisses all around, and told everyone "May Kissmas."
Then we all ran to the Christmas tree to see what Santa had left Jackson. It was a big, green, John Deere Tractor, or as he called it, "Tractor John."
The tractor is fully powered, and Jackson took no time at all to figure out the gas pedal (though he has yet to learn to steer it) and took several wild rides around the living room.

After seeing the tractor he really didn't care to see anything else, but we eventually convinced him that he had other presents to open, and a stocking too. He didn't really understand the stocking concept, but he did like the matchbox cars he managed to fish out of it.
With Jackson back on the tractor, the rest of the family settled in to open a few gifts of our own. Uncle Bubby got a new gun.
Rach got a super cool Garmin, Susie got a Chi flat iron, Jackson then struck up an impromptu concert on the new bongos he'd just opened.
Nana got a pretty new hummingbird feeder from us.
Jackson got a fire truck complete with siren sounds from Uncle Bubby and driven by "Michael" of the Little People.
Rach got Susie something really expensive, romantic, and classy. Just kidding. It's rasta sauce from the Ocean Deck in Daytona Beach (just what she wanted).
Jackson was wiped out by the time we finished opening presents, but his day was just beginning. Thankfully he had time to sleep on the way to Pana, and by sleep, I mean totally crash.
