Jackson's Birthday

The week-long celebration of Jackson continued with Jackson's birthday, right on the heels of Halloween. Big Papi brought presents with him, and Jackson couldn't wait to tear into them after his birthday party at the church hall with his friends.

Big Papi showed Jackson his presents, Skippyjon Jones books. These are some of the funniest children's books we have seen, and Jackson loves them. He already recites them from memory and has added "Holy hairballs!" to his vocabulary.

Jackson's big present from his mommies was his kitchen set. Because Jackson always helps Mommy Rachel in the kitchen, we thought we'd get him his own kitchen to practice cooking. He loved it.

There are many knobs to twist and doors to open and close. We also got him a lot of play food to cook. Jackson likes to make cookies, pizza, and soup for us.

In this picture, Rachel tries to figure out the Thomas the Train tracks that Bella and Grandpa sent him.

And here's the full track laid out. Jackson likes watching the train go around the track and insists on building tunnels for it to go through out of duplos.

Overall, it was a great birthday for Jackson. He got to see grandparents and Big Papi and all his friends.
