Fall in Western NY

Western NY is beautiful in the fall, and it's a great time to get outside and enjoy the cool weather. A local pumpkin patch offers hay rides, and we took Jackie on one during play group one Monday.Fall is also a good time to get rid of things (a version of spring cleaning). Our neighbors had outgrown their tower slide, so they gave it to Jackson to grow into. Jackson helped Mommy Rachel give it a good cleaning before we put it to use.

Then Jackson had his friends Etta (middle) and Francis (right) over to play on it and slide into the leaves.
Jackson loves to play in the leaves, and he has also begun to help with their removal, as you can see below. He prefers the leaf blower to the rake.

Even as late as November, we were still getting raspberries from our neighbors' bush. Jackson loves to eat them right off the vine.

We also made a trip to Westfield to the Enchilada Warehouse, a local Mexican restaurant. Mommy Susie ate the best quesadilla she has ever had.

Sarah and Simon joined us for our lunch at the Warehouse, and we had a picnic on the nearby church lawn because the Warehouse is so small.

Small, but well worth it, if you are ever in Westfield, NY.
