North Carolina Part 2 - Graduation

The next morning we hung around the house. Toni always makes us breakfast of bacon and grits, and we just soak it up since you can't get good grits in New York. Jackson had made himself at home, and he was having a lot of fun playing with the banister.

He learned to say "boo" while we were there and was having a great time peaking around the stairs and shouting at NeeNee, who was waiting just around the corner.

After a while he was so excited and giggly the game dissolved into Jackson jumping out and saying bu-bu-bu-bu-booooooo until he and Toni laughed so hard they couldn't go on any more.

Around mid-day we turned our focus toward the reason for our trip: Tosh's graduation. We got to see her open her gift from Toni. It's a very cool digital camera with all the bells and whistles.

Tosh was graduating with a second master's degree from NC State. We attended her department's graduation ceremony, which was very nice. Jackson actually sat through the entire thing and only got restless in the last few minutes.

We were all very proud of Tosh, especially Jackson, who cheered extra loud for his Aunt Tawh as she walked across the stage.

That evening we met up with our friends Bonnie and Georgia for a celebratory dinner. It was a great way to wrap up our time in Raleigh, especially since we'd be seeing everyone again during the second leg of our trip in Greenville.
