Illinois Part 2

Saturday night we headed back to Nana and PawPaw's for a cook out. Jackson and his grandparents coordinated their outfits for the event, all wearing their Rolling Stones T-Shirts.

Grandma and Grandpa Burris were up from Florida, and Grandma Rosie and Foxie came over from Taylorville. Uncle Dern Dern and Aunt Deb were there, too. Jackson and Dern Dern took a few laps around the yard together before dinner.

After dinner Jackie and Camryn played in the yard. Camy got stung by a wasp, but she recovered like a real trooper. Jackson showed off his hitting skills for Uncle Geoff and Aunt Chris (who is just outside the picture below), who were in their orange and blue to celebrate Garrett getting into U of I.

It was a great cookout, and as always it was a blast to hang out with everyone.
Sunday morning we had the whole Spangler side of the family over for Sunday breakfast. As usual the house was filled to the brim with aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jackson was thrilled to have so many kids around. We spent part of the morning on the front porch, and Jackie dragged his t-ball set into the front yard, where the kids took turns hitting.

Uncle Larry brought by his Harley and let the kids take a look at it. Jackson loved it and kept saying "vroom, vroom," but he wouldn't sit on it. Tanner hopped right up and wanted to go for a spin.
Before everyone had to head out, Jackson gave hugs and kisses. He doesn't get to see the extended family often, and when he does he really makes the most of it.

Here he is saying bye bye to his great-great aunt Sannie Isn't he the sweetest boy ever?
We weren't done with the family time though because we had a big event that afternoon when cousin Tasha graduated from Carlinville High School.

We're very proud of her, and we're so glad we were there to see her walk across that stage.
